My Best Guess

Okay this is what I think could may or may not happen. You just never know with this process.

Well anyways DNA was taken on Tuesday in Guatemala. It was received here in the U.S on Thursday. The lab was working on it on Friday. I contacted the lab (intellegenetics) via email and they sent me one back. It said that they were working on it and most likely it will be done next Thursday or Friday. Then they send it back to Guatemala to the Embassy. A day or two after that which I am guessing would be around the 8th. Then the embassy issues the big ole' PINK SLIP. ( that has the date on it when our appointement will be) The date is usually a week later. So I am figuring we will have our DAUGHTER between the 15-19th.

DNA

Well, on 8/25 my charge card showed a pending amount charged. Found out that 8/26, they actually took the sample. Now it gets sent here to the USA to be tested and compared to her first DNA that was taken at the beginning of the process. Once that gets done the results get sent back to Guatemala to the embassy, they issue something called a pink slip. This is email'd to me with a date of when we have to go. Those are the last steps. As of right now I have ALL of our paper work down. YEEEHAAAW Wow we are getting soooo close.

I have been going crazy trying to get things all done before she gets here. (It aint gonna happen) I want to be able to devote every second to her while I am off. WE have to work on bonding, not staining the porch! So I am trying to get 100 jobs done, or at least I will try.

She is almost packed

Well I decided I should get Avea packed. I have a full suit case for her. THere's alot to take. Also gifts for the foster family. I tried thinking of some good things to take them. I decided to take the Foster Family a DVD player. I thought then I could send them dvd's of Avea as she grows up. I made them a photo album with all the pictures that the agency had taken every month and I also sent some of us all with her. I got the FM And foster Grandmother, both heart lockets that I am going to put the cutie pies pictures in. I bought two little toys for the Foster brothers. Well anyways we are getting ready!!! To go get the little peanut!!

We Have the PASS PORT!!

We're plugging away now. Found out we received the Pass Port on 8/14. The next step is DNA. I am checking my credit card daily to see when it gets charged. Once we get a charge for the DNA it won't be long.

The owner of the agency was down there taking pictures this time. She said Avea just woke up from a nap. THat's why she looks so sleepy. ( I figured it was because she wanted her daddy on his Birthday)

Just got an email from the agency. Wow the attachment was the birth certificate. It says my name by madre and Mikes name by Padre. Wow what a feeling. It worked out good since today was Homey's Birthday. I would have never thought,that a piece of paper would make me so happy. Wow I am a MOM!! That is weird but an awesome weird.

I got most of the final paper work done today. It is coming to an end. I can't wait!!!!

This is probably the last time I will see this beautiful face, until I see it in person. How could I be so lucky. My heart turned to mush when I seen this picture. I think I could be in trouble. With those eyes, she'll have me eating out of the palm of her hand.

Where are the pictures???

I know they took pictures of the babies Monday. I have been expecting them for two full days now. I want them and I want them now. I live for pictures.

WAHOOOO

I just got a email saying that we already have our Birth Certificate. It said "we have received BC, I seen it with my own eyes" That was it, but that is awesome. Our Facilitator is down there now. She said in another email that "Baby is Good!!" On my forum Some peoples Bc's are taking between 4-6 weeks. I am so excited since we submitted it on 8/08/08 that means two business days YEEEHAAAWW!! My forum says after BC it usually takes 20-25 days. Now, I am not sure if these are business days or all days. Hopefully weekends are included because we would be outta here before you know it YES!!

I just don't understand what is going on. My mom is running around screaming WAHOO WAHOO WAHOO. I think I will just go to sleep cause she is acting CRAZY!!

This is the diaper cake that I got at my baby shower. Maggie made it. I have never seen something like it. It was sooo cute.

I found this at a garage sale. I paid $35 for it. Sanded painted and put new knobs on it. Now we have a bookshelf/vanity/desk for the future.

This is the only area that needs to be finished. Jimmy is building a window seat in the dormer. It will be a toy box too.

Oh how I wish I would have taken a picture of this chair before and after. It was the saddest looking thing. I found it in someones garbage up at mom and dads lake. I just knew it had potential. It was burnt yellow Boucle', yuck it was UGLY but I knew it was perfect. The tag I found on the bottom said 1964. I love the 60's and 70's furniture. It rocks too!!

Mom made the comforter out of the curtains that I picked out. And she also made the ruffle. It is soooo cute.

Just found out through email that we have our Birth Certificate ALREADY!!! The email said "Hi Denise , we have received BC!!!!! I seen it with my own eyes!!!" and that was it. I am so excited it is almost as good as getting out of PGN. There are a lot of people on my forum who have been waiting 4-8 weeks for their BC. Ours was two business days. I CAN'T BELEIVE IT!!! I am giggling right now, thinking God must have gotten sick of me praying, give her what she wants so she'll leave me alone (JUST KIDDIN) But I have been praying non-stop WAHOOOO! !!!GOD IS GOOD!! I have learned this from my forum people that it is usually 20-25 days after BC to embassy appointment. Now, I am not sure if that is business days, or all days. So I will have to wait and see what the agency has to say about it. Looks like I will be out of work sooner than I thought WAHOOO!!!! I am ready for my girl!!

NO UPDATE FRIDAY

No update Friday. It was a bummer, until they said NEW PICTURES ARE COMING!! WAAAHOOOOO I love new pictures. It's funny that pictures are so exciting, but thats all I havc FOR NOW!! So keep your eyes open for some more pictures. They said that their taking them Monday so probably Monday night or Tuesday.

Also I actually talked to my agency. They said, that they have a family picking up now and one picking up next week. Both were 6 week pick ups. But we will see. I hate being so negative about it, but you hate to get your hopes up. Well I am going to keep praying to get her home asap. Thats all for now.

Nine Months

Today my daughter (I like the sound of that) turns nine months old. I never really thought that she wouldn't be here with me right now. I am sitting here wondering how many teeth she has (two confirmed by the last pictures), is she crawling, is she saying mama, is she pulling herself up and getting into everything, does she have that deep down belly laugh that I love to hear. It is sad to be missing all of that, but at least I know that she is ours, and she will be here soon.

Our attorney is finally submitting for the Birth Certificate 8/8. I am thinking that the last birthmother signature had to happen before that. I have a email in to the agency asking them that.

I have decided as of now that the last week that I am booking appointments for is the 19th of September. That could change at any time depending on what I hear, so if you want your hair done before I am off for two months call soon.

I am going to be putting pictures of the FINISHED room on this soon. As soon as I can find the cord to my camera. ( I looked for one hour last night). Also there will be more pictures of Avea coming mid August I hear. CAN"T WAIT!!! Thats all for now.
