Nine Months

Today my daughter (I like the sound of that) turns nine months old. I never really thought that she wouldn't be here with me right now. I am sitting here wondering how many teeth she has (two confirmed by the last pictures), is she crawling, is she saying mama, is she pulling herself up and getting into everything, does she have that deep down belly laugh that I love to hear. It is sad to be missing all of that, but at least I know that she is ours, and she will be here soon.

Our attorney is finally submitting for the Birth Certificate 8/8. I am thinking that the last birthmother signature had to happen before that. I have a email in to the agency asking them that.

I have decided as of now that the last week that I am booking appointments for is the 19th of September. That could change at any time depending on what I hear, so if you want your hair done before I am off for two months call soon.

I am going to be putting pictures of the FINISHED room on this soon. As soon as I can find the cord to my camera. ( I looked for one hour last night). Also there will be more pictures of Avea coming mid August I hear. CAN"T WAIT!!! Thats all for now.

We're OUT of PGN

Got the call today. We are officially a MOMMY AND A DADDY!!!!! At least on the Guatemalan side. Half of you don't understand, this PGN thing, now that we blew two months waiting for the Birthmother interview we are just up and moving again, this could have gone on forever. Some people get kicked out 4 times, so I consider myself lucky with only one KO. Now we move into waiting some more. They are saying 4-8weeks. But you never know how long for sure we have to deal with RENAP now, and that is a new process. So I guess we have to sit back and wait again. But anyways We are definately doing the HAPPY DANCE!!!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAWWWW

PGN and Babbling about the Name

I don't have any new, news. Except that there was someone on the forum that was a resubmit, on 7/8. They were just let out of PGN today. THat brings me some hope, that was 22 days. So I will be watching like mad in about 9 more days.

The reason I do not have it open is because my agency said that she is not legally my daughter yet. So I had to change it over to private.

About her name: My Grandma , who was the sweetest thing made, always told me that she loved names that were in songs. So I had to come up with one that nobody had. I loved the song " Ave Maria ", it almost always brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear it. So I decided to name my little peanut "Avea Maria" The last time I heard it, we were in Guatemala, there was a girl singing it to the POPE on the T.V., that was the last time I have heard it. It'll definately turn me into a mess now if I hear it.

I let my mom and Mikes mom decide how to spell it, either Aveya or Avea, they decided on Avea. This led me to a problem, I want an accent over the " e ". I can do it in the subject line of a email, I can do it all over on other peoples PC's. But I can't do it down in the posting areas. You have to hit the " ctrl " then the apostrophe or the accent next to the "1" key, THen hit the vowel. It works, but not on my PC. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this or if I have to change a setting on my PC. Without the accent, it looks like a different spelling of AVA. And I can't have that.

Her given name is Virginia De Los Angeles, this means Virgin of the Angels, I named her Avea Maria after the Virgin Mary. I thought that was kind of cool, being I had her name before we knew anything. Anyway, this is how we came up with her name.

RESUBMITTED!!

Found out yesterday that we were resubmitted on 7/17/08 back into PGN. What happened to you got KO today your attorney will resubmit you tomorrow??? That would have been 7/07/08. That's a bunch of wasted days, just to resubmit something that never needed to be fixed. Just to let you all know, once our file gets out of PGN it is probably a 6-8 week wait before going to pick her up. That definately puts her at about a year old. SAD SAD SAD! We haven't decided if we will be able to go to see her. It changes from day to day. I will let you all know if we decide.

That's it, it has been almost six weeks since the last set of pictures. I want them now, I need them now!!! THey better make her smile, and it better make me happy~!!!!

40 more business days!!!

Email from Stephanie, (the guatemalan Coordinator for our agency, she lives in Guatemala). She said PGN will take another 40 business days. Last time remember 40 business days turned into 17 weeks!!! I am just sick. That is all I have now. And frankly I don't want to talk about it anymore.

THIS BLOWS!!!

Well, this is the news that we HAVE NOT been waiting all this time for. We just found out today that we were kicked out of PGN with a previo. Yes this BLOWs!!! And that is me talking really good. How disapointing after waiting 17 weeks.

This is what the email said "I spoke to your attorney and she indicated that the file was kicked out of PGN with requirements yeaterday, due to an error from PGN (since your attorney had changed the Notary, they submitted a document to state that, and PGN got confused and thought they meant the attorney appointed by you through a POA, which is the same person, so they are requesting why the same persona appears on all documents if he had been changed)." The file will be resubmitted in PGN tomorrow.

Okay, it sounds like PGN made the mistake. Does this mean it will be a quick fix, who knows. It probably all depends on if they like my attorney or not, I would say.

I am going to get some answers Wednesday I hope. If it is going to be a while, I am outta of here. July 30th - August 4th is the weekend that we have okay'ed as of right now, I am going to go if this is going to be more than a week delay. That is my plan, and I am going to stick to it.

Once we get out of PGN it is going to be around 6-8 weeks before we will be able to bring her home. So that means we are at least 8 weeks away from seeing her. If we went on the 30th it would split that in half, and right now 4 weeks to see her is way to long.

Hopefully I will be able to update this blog tomorrow with some good news.

Just Found out BOO HOO

Just found out that there is a guatemalan holiday on June 30th and July 1st. THis means absolutely no news about PGN until WEDNESDAY!!!! That is just terrible at this point. I have about 1 1/2 hours as of now for the office in Guatemala to close. Hopefully Stephanie down there will send the good news with our update. Notice I say GOOD NEWS trying to be optimistic at the moment. I will let you all know as soon as it happens. PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!
